Sparks

Sparks pay for animation: turning still scenes into moving clips. Your BigMotion plan already covers making and posting videos, so you only need Sparks if you want your videos to move.

What Sparks are spent on

Every Series and every Cartoon has an animation option:

  • No animation: a slideshow with overlay effects and smooth transitions. Free.
  • Animate the opening scene: only the first scene moves. Uses fewer Sparks.
  • Animate every scene: every scene becomes a moving clip with ambient sound. Costs the most and needs a higher Sparks pack.

The price depends only on the option, not on video length or style. In a Series it’s charged for every video. Animation explains each option and when Sparks are taken.

See your balance

  • The Sparks badge in the top bar or sidebar.
  • The Sparks row on the Account page, together with your renewal date.

Get Sparks

Sparks come as a monthly Sparks pack, an add-on to your BigMotion plan. You need an active plan to buy one.

  1. Open the Sparks window. You can do this from the Sparks badge, Get Sparks on the Account page, the animation step when creating a Series or Cartoon, or the Animation skipped notice on a Series.
  2. Pick a pack. To animate more, multiply it, up to 10 times. If you opened the window from a Series, the app recommends a pack that matches that Series’ schedule.
  3. Confirm. Your saved card is charged right away. Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment. If your card can’t be charged, a payment page opens instead.

You can have one Sparks pack at a time. To change it, pick another pack or multiplier. Depending on how you pay, the change applies right away or from your next renewal.

Use them or lose them

  • Each monthly renewal adds that month’s Sparks.
  • Unused Sparks don’t carry over. Each month’s Sparks expire at the end of that billing period.
  • The Sparks that expire soonest are used first.

Free trial Sparks

When your BigMotion plan starts, you get a one-time gift of Sparks, enough to animate the opening scene of one video. They expire after 14 days; the sidebar shows how many days are left.

When Sparks run out

  • Series keep making and posting videos, just without animation. The Series page shows Animation skipped, with an Animate every video button to get more.
  • Cartoons: choosing an option you can’t afford opens the Sparks window.

Stop your Sparks pack

  • The pack renews every month until you cancel it. Cancelling is done only in the app: open Account, then Manage Subscription.
  • If your BigMotion plan ends, the Sparks pack won’t renew after its current paid month.
  • If a Sparks payment is refunded, those Sparks are removed. Any you already spent are taken from your next Sparks.
