Plans and billing

What a plan is

A plan is the subscription that keeps your Series making videos. Its size is measured in Videos per Month:

Videos per Month = videos per Series on your plan × number of Series

For example, about 30 videos per Series × 2 Series is about 60 videos per month.

You can see the current plans and prices on the plans page at app.bigmotion.ai/billing. Your own plan, renewal date and Sparks are on the Account page at app.bigmotion.ai/account.

Plans can be paid monthly or yearly. Changing your plan keeps the same billing period: monthly stays monthly, yearly stays yearly.

Series on your plan

Each Series you pay for runs one Series, and each one gets your plan’s videos per Series. When they’re all in use, you have two options:

  • Buy an extra Series. It’s added to your current plan, and you pay for it right away.
  • Archive a Series you no longer need. This frees it up for a new one.

Upgrading

Moving to a bigger plan, or adding a Series, happens right away:

  • Today you pay only for the rest of your current billing period. This is called prorating.
  • From your next billing date, you pay the full new price.
  • Your Series switch to the new number of videos straight away.

Before anything is charged you see a summary with Due today (tax included, if any) and the price you’ll pay from your next billing date. Nothing is charged until you agree. The card already saved on your account is used.

How an extra Series is billed depends on how your subscription was set up. Some accounts pay a prorated amount, others pay a full month for that Series. The summary always shows the exact amount.

Downgrading

Moving to a smaller plan doesn’t happen right away. It’s scheduled for the end of your current billing period:

  • You keep your current plan and videos until that date.
  • On the plans page, the smaller plan shows Scheduled with its start date.
  • You can undo it before that date: press Cancel downgrade on the plans page, or Keep current plan on the Account page.
  • While a downgrade is scheduled, you can’t make other plan changes. Cancel the downgrade first.

Sparks

Sparks pay for animation. They’re a separate monthly add-on, and you need an active plan to buy them. See Sparks.

Cancelling

You can cancel only yourself, in the app:

  1. Open Account.
  2. Press Manage Subscription.
  3. Follow the steps.

AI assistants can’t cancel a subscription for you.

After you cancel:

  • Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for. The Account page shows how many days are left.
  • You can change your mind before then: press Resume plan on the Account page, or ask your AI assistant to resume it. Your plan then renews as usual.

When a plan ends

When you no longer have an active plan:

  • Your Series go On hold. They make no new videos, and upcoming planned videos are cancelled.
  • Your Series settings are kept.

To restart, press Reactivate plan on the Account page, or buy a plan again. Your Series come off hold automatically the same day, and this month’s videos are planned again.

Changing your plan through an AI assistant

An AI assistant with Full access can upgrade or downgrade your plan, add a Series, undo a scheduled downgrade or resume a cancelled plan. It always shows you the amount due today and the next payment first, and changes nothing until you say yes. If the price changed in the meantime, it shows you the new amount and asks again. See Connect an AI assistant.
