Connect an AI assistant

You can connect an AI assistant to your BigMotion account and just talk to it: “how many videos do I have left this month?”, “start a Series about space facts”, “make a cartoon from this story”. The assistant sees the same account as the app.

BigMotion works with any assistant that supports MCP connectors (MCP is the standard way AI assistants connect to other apps). You’ll need this address:

https://mcp.bigmotion.ai/mcp

You’ll also find it, with a copy button and a setup guide for each assistant, on the Connected agents page in the app: app.bigmotion.ai/account/agents.

How connecting works

Whatever assistant you use, the last steps are the same:

  1. You add BigMotion in your assistant, using the address above.
  2. A BigMotion page opens in your browser. Sign in the way you usually do: email code, password or Google.
  3. The page shows which assistant is asking. Choose an access level, Read or Full (see below).
  4. Approve. You’re sent back to your assistant, and it’s connected.

Your password is never shared with the assistant.

Step-by-step for each assistant

Menu names in these apps change from time to time. If yours look different, look for the place to add a custom connector or MCP server.

ChatGPT

  1. Open Settings, then Apps & Connectors.
  2. Under Advanced settings, turn on Developer mode.
  3. Go back and press Create to add a new connector.
  4. Name it BigMotion, paste the address above as the MCP server URL, and choose OAuth for authentication.
  5. Confirm, then sign in to BigMotion and choose an access level.
  6. In a chat, turn on BigMotion from the + menu before you ask about your account.

Claude

Works in Claude on the web, the desktop app and the mobile apps.

  1. Open Settings, then Connectors.
  2. Press Add custom connector.
  3. Name it BigMotion and paste the address above. Press Add.
  4. Press Connect next to BigMotion, sign in and choose an access level.
  5. In a chat, make sure BigMotion is turned on in the tools menu.

On Team and Enterprise plans, an owner may need to add the connector for the organisation first.

Gemini

BigMotion connects to Gemini through Gemini CLI. Install it if you don’t have it yet, then run:

gemini mcp add --transport http bigmotion https://mcp.bigmotion.ai/mcp

Then start Gemini CLI and run /mcp auth bigmotion to sign in.

Claude Code

  1. In your terminal, run:

claude mcp add --transport http bigmotion https://mcp.bigmotion.ai/mcp
  2. Start Claude Code and type /mcp.

  3. Pick bigmotion and choose to authenticate. Your browser opens; sign in and choose an access level.

Cursor

The quickest way is one click from the app:

  1. Open app.bigmotion.ai/account/agents and pick the Cursor tab.
  2. Press the install button. Cursor opens and asks to add BigMotion; confirm.
  3. In Cursor’s MCP settings, press Connect (or Login) next to BigMotion, sign in and choose an access level.

To add it by hand instead, open Cursor’s MCP settings, add a new MCP server named bigmotion with the address above, then connect as in step 3.

VS Code

The quickest way is one click from the app:

  1. Open app.bigmotion.ai/account/agents and pick the VS Code tab.
  2. Press the install button. VS Code opens and asks to install the BigMotion server; confirm.
  3. When VS Code asks you to sign in, allow it, sign in to BigMotion and choose an access level.
  4. Use BigMotion from Copilot Chat in Agent mode.

To add it by hand, open the Command Palette, run MCP: Add Server, choose HTTP, paste the address above and name it bigmotion.

Read or Full access

Read lets the assistant look, but not change anything. It can:

  • show your plan, Videos per Month, free Series and Sparks balance,
  • list your Series, videos and Cartoons,
  • explain how BigMotion works.

Full lets it do everything Read can, and also:

  • create, edit and archive Series,
  • make Cartoons, which spend Sparks,
  • upgrade or downgrade your plan, undo a scheduled downgrade, or resume a cancelled plan,
  • buy an extra Series or Sparks.

Choose Read if you only want answers. Choose Full if you want the assistant to do things and make purchases for you.

What an assistant never does

  • It never cancels your subscription. Only you can, in the app: Account, then Manage Subscription.
  • It never charges you without showing the price first. Before any payment it shows what you pay today and what you’ll pay later, and it waits for your yes.
  • It can’t do steps that need you in person, such as connecting TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, or uploading your own character image. It gives you a link to the right page in the app instead.

An assistant works only with Series, videos, Cartoons, Sparks and your plan.

Payments

With Full access, approved payments are charged to the card saved on your account. The assistant gives you a link instead when:

  • you have no saved card or no active plan: the link opens a checkout page;
  • your bank needs to confirm the payment: the link lets you finish it.

See, change or remove connected assistants

Open Connected agents at app.bigmotion.ai/account/agents, also linked from the Account page. For each assistant you see its name, access level and when you connected it. You can:

  • switch it between Read and Full: the new level applies to its next request,
  • press Revoke to remove it: it loses access straight away. To use it again, connect it again.

To add another one, press Connect another assistant.

Activity record

BigMotion keeps a record of every action an assistant takes that changes something: which assistant did it, what it did, and the price it showed you before any payment. Simply viewing your account and lists isn’t recorded.

Tips

  • Talk to it in plain words, for example “make a Series about space facts for TikTok”. It fills in the details itself and tells you what it chose.
  • If something looks off, check in the app. The assistant sees the same account and data.
  • If it says it can’t make changes, its access is Read. Switch it to Full on the Connected agents page.
